Brokerage Program
The Disability Brokerage Service provides a flexible and innovative range of quality support options that will enhance the independence, community participation and quality of life for children and adults with disabilities and their families.
The service supports clients in a wide range of settings including in-home and within the community. This support can be provided during the day, evenings, overnights and weekends.
The majority of overnight support is held at the Mt Warning Respite House in Murwillumbah which is managed by TVRS. This venue provides a modern, secure environment that is fully equipped to meet the needs of people with physical disabilities. We also have access to other venues on the Gold Coast should this venue not be available.
Monies are sourced from external agencies to fund this service. The brokerage service has an established working relationship with the following brokering services:
- Commonwealth Carer Respite Centre (CCRC)
- Department of Ageing, Disability & Home Care (DADHC) Community Support Workers
- Tweed Shire Community Options Program (COPS)
- Tweed Valley Early Childhood Intervention Service (TVECIS)
- Short-Term Time Out Project (STOP)
- Flexible Respite Options Consortium (FROC)
- Department of Community Services (DoCS)
- Local Support Coordinator (LSC)
We welcome requests from any other agency wishing to purchase tailor made services for their clients.
