TVRS Volunteering Services
This arm of our service recruits and trains volunteers from the community to provide invaluable assistance to clients throughout a wide range of programs.
TVRS also provides opportunities for our clients with a disability to participate in volunteer work placements within the wider community and welcomes volunteers interested in participating in this initiative.
People are interested in volunteering for a variety of reasons. They may:
- want to contribute in practical ways to their community on a voluntary basis
- be interested in working in the disability or aged care sector and wish to gain more knowledge and skills in the field
- be currently studying for a qualification and wish to do a placement with us as part of study requirements.
Volunteering positions are available to assist in:
- Group programs in both Aged and Disability Services in centres and in the community with people with disabilities and people who are frailaged and/or have a dementia or related disorder
- Special projects - community events, promotional events
- Work projects - assisting people with a disability to volunteer and work in the community
- Social Support and assisting people to stay living in the community
